Hair Transplant Procedure
Under this heading, information will be provided regarding the steps and procedures that our patients will undergo on the day of the hair transplant operation.
1. Determining the Hairline
The hairline is determined based on the patient’s facial features, the density of the donor area, the size of the area to be transplanted, and the patient’s age. This step is crucial to ensure that the hair transplant results look natural and aesthetic.
2. Hair Trimming
After the areas to be transplanted and where the follicles will be taken from are marked, the hair is trimmed to the required length for the operation. This allows the hair follicles to be collected and transplanted more easily.
3. Scalp Cleaning
The areas to be transplanted and where the follicles will be extracted from are sterilized using antiseptic solutions. This process minimizes the risk of infection and ensures the operation is performed in a hygienic environment.
4. Local Anesthesia
The areas to be treated are numbed using a needle-free pressurized anesthesia method. After achieving regional numbness, the process continues with local anesthesia injections into the other areas. This ensures that no pain is felt during the procedure.
5. Follicle Extraction
Once the donor area is fully numbed, grafts are collected using micromotor or manual punches. The collected grafts are separated and counted based on their root structure. The counted and separated grafts are stored on sterile pads in a cabinet at a temperature of 2-8 degrees Celsius.
6. Channel Opening
After the follicle extraction is completed, channels are opened in the recipient area using appropriate tools based on the length and thickness of the collected grafts. The correct angle and depth of these channels are crucial for the natural appearance of the transplanted hair.
7. Transplantation Process
The collected grafts are carefully placed into the opened channels. This step is performed with precision to ensure that the transplanted hair grows in the correct direction and angle.
8. Bandaging
The donor area is covered with sponges and bandages, leaving the transplanted area exposed. This protects the transplanted area and ensures a healthy healing process.
9. Discharge
After providing the patient with the necessary information, they are discharged with instructions for the first wash, which is scheduled two days later. Patients are also thoroughly informed about the post-operative care and follow-up process.
